Dad will happily jump on the smoothie bowl bandwagon if you serve him this delicious and nutritious banana, berry and coconut concoction for breakfast this Father’s Day.
2 ripe bananas, roughly chopped
1/2 cup frozen mixed berries, plus extra thawed berries to serve
2 tablespoons traditional rolled oats
2 tablespoons raw almond kernels, plus extra chopped almonds to serve
1 cup chilled coconut milk
1/3 cup coconut yoghurt
Toasted coconut flakes, pepitas, white chia seeds and honey, to serve
1 Place banana, berries, oats, almonds, milk and yoghurt in a blender. Blend until smooth and combined.
2 Divide mixture between serving bowls. Top with extra berries, coconut flakes, extra almonds, pepitas and chia seeds. Drizzle with honey. Serve.
