Set the scene (and the dining table) for a sophisticated supper, with the latest Domayne homewares featured in our gorgeous Supper Club editorial – as seen in Australian Women’s Weekly, Gourmet Traveller, House & Garden, Real Living and Belle. Inspired by this, four of our fave magazine editors – Editor of Belle, Tanya Buchanan, House & Garden’s Lisa Green, Gourmet Traveller’s Anthea Loucas and Real Living‘s Deb Bibby – kindly dished up their expert tips on styling your dining space:

“The bronze, gold and copper tones that we are seeing in kitchen and dining spaces look fabulous with timber, stone and leather. Injecting these metallic pops through lighting and accessories such as vases, ice buckets and candles adds instant glam. It seems that there is a more refined approach to industrial and handmade – call it luxe organic! Whether you’re decorating a new space, renovating or just after a speedy refresh, pastel tones like dusty pinks, greens and blues work beautifully with metals and other natural finishes.” Tanya Buchanan, belle

Domayne Supper Gray SpreadWhite is the staple colour for crockery and I find my table always starts with these basics. It might be plain but it’s far from drab when you add a high-contrast colour into the mix. Black and white make for a dramatic change-up and a sophisticated combination for entertaining. For a simple way to make a standout feature of your everyday pieces, stick to a monochromatic palette encompassing shades of grey.” Anthea Loucas, Australian Gourmet Traveller

Domayne Supper GREEN SETTING 004“When it comes to your dining space, don’t underestimate the importance of lighting. Pendant lights are particularly suited for placement over tables and benches and can add style and character to any space. It can be a make or break feature so choose wisely and make sure you get the height right. Start by hanging your pendant 75cm above the table and adjust from there. One good-sized pendant is great over the dining table; grouping two or three lights above a long kitchen bench can work well.” Lisa Green, Australian House & Garden

Domayne Supper PINK SETTING“These dramatic table settings incorporate typical style elements that are easy to recreate at home. Layered textures, including ceramic, timber, fabric and metallics, create plenty of interest; vases, cake stands and glassware of various heights draw the eye; and bold colour combinations and strong patterns lift the look of each space. I’m also loving the hits of gold and copper bling!” Deb Bibby, real living
